How to choose your photographer.

Photos are what remains of your event. Here is how to choose a photographer whose style and deliverables match your expectations.

Identify the style you love, ask for a full gallery (not just the best-of), clarify the deliverables (number of photos, turnaround, rights) and make sure the connection feels right.

Define your style

Reportage, posed, bright or contrasty: shortlist 2-3 photographers whose work appeals to you before comparing prices.

Look at a FULL gallery

A portfolio only shows the best. Ask for one full event to judge consistency and tricky light.

Deliverables and rights

How many edited photos? What turnaround? What usage rights? Album included or extra?

Connection and presence on the day

You must get along. A second photographer? What happens if something goes wrong?
