1. Two kinds of reviews
We Event reviews are posted by customers, either directly on a provider's page or through the link the provider sends them after the service.
Google reviews come from the provider's public Google listing. We display a selection of recent Google reviews rated 4 or 5 stars; the average rating and the total number of reviews shown are Google's own figures. Every review states where it comes from.
2. What we check before publishing
Every We Event review is checked before publication:
- by an automated analysis that checks the text describes a real experience with this provider;
- by checks on our server: one review per person and per provider, no review posted by the provider or their team, no copy of an existing review;
- by our team, whenever a doubt remains.
Without a We Event account, the author first confirms their email address: without this confirmation, the review is neither analysed nor published.
A low rating or criticism is never a reason for refusal. A negative review that describes the service is published like any other.
3. Why a review may be refused
- it describes no experience with this provider (empty text, test, random letters);
- it concerns another provider or another activity;
- it contains advertising, a link or a solicitation;
- it contains insulting, hateful or threatening language;
- it repeats the text of a review that is already published;
- it was posted by the provider or a member of their team;
- it reveals someone else's personal data.
The author of a refused review receives the reason by email and can post a new review.
4. The “Verified review” label
It only appears when we hold evidence of the service: the review was posted with the link sent by the provider, or the author's address matches an accepted quote, an invoice or an event organised with this provider on We Event. Other reviews carry the label “We Event review”.
5. Time frames and retention
- a review found reliable is published immediately; a review checked by our team is handled within 72 hours at most;
- the address confirmation link is valid for 7 days;
- a published review stays online as long as the provider's page exists;
- for an unpublished review, the author's email address is erased after 13 months.
6. Display order
Reviews are displayed from the most recent to the oldest. The provider can pin some reviews at the top of their page.
7. Nothing in return
We Event offers no payment and no benefit in exchange for a review.
8. Editing, removing or reporting a review
The author of a review can ask for it to be edited or removed by writing to support@we-event.eu.
A provider who considers a review doubtful can report it from their account, in the Reviews tab: our team examines it, and the review stays online during the review. Any visitor can also write to us at the same address.
